IBF interim super flyweight champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire was rushed to the Asian Hospital in Alabang on Thursday with a high fever.

His wife Rachael informed us that he was under observation at the medical center.

Ms. Donaire said they had been staying at home for the past three days and said “I don’t know. He just got a bad fever and doctors are still running tests.”

At around 9:30 p.m. (Manila Time) Rachael Donaire told us “they are doing blood work and hooking up Nonito to an intravenous system” adding that they are expected to stay overnight in the hospital.

Ms. Donaire asked for prayers for her husband's speedy recovery.
